Professor Andrea Reupert

Professor Andrea Reupert is Director of Psychology Programs at the Krongold Clinic, at Monash University and Editor in Chief of Advances in Mental Health: Promotion, Prevention and Early Intervention. Her area of expertise is in the area of families facing multiple adversities, with a particular focus on parental mental illness. Working in collaboration with parents, youth and services, Andrea has established an active program of research regarding evidence based interventions for families and professional development materials for clinicians.

She is the lead editor of Parental psychiatric disorders. Distressed parents and their families, which was the 2016 winner of the British Medical Association President’s prize.  She was one of the convenors of the international Parental and Family Mental Health Worldwide collaborative, which meets every two years in Prato, Italy. The collaborative brings together researchers from around the world to exponentially advance the parental mental health research agenda. Her leadership in this collaborative has involved mentoring current and future research leaders in Australia, North America, Europe and Asia.
