Professor John Eastwood

Professor John Eastwood is Executive Clinical Advisor Clinical Services Integration and Population Health, Co-Chair Institute for Women, Children and their Families, Consultant Paediatrician and Public Health Physician for the Sydney Local Health District. He is a visiting academic at the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network with Conjoint and Adjunct Associate Professor Appointments at UNSW and Sydney University respectively. He has a long track record in relation to national and international translation of research into policy and practice, including: heading the New Zealand Public Health Commission policy group that focused on research translation to policy and programmes and undertaking international development projects in Asia and the Pacific. He is currently leading a large population-based integrated care initiative for vulnerable families in Inner West Sydney, and Chair of the Child Youth and Family, Realist Evaluation, and Health and Social Care Special Interest Groups of the International Foundation of Integrated Care.
