Dr Ric Haslam
Dr Ric Haslam is Director of Mental Health at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. He trained at RCH and has worked in public mental health for children and adolescents for almost 20 years. He recently returned to Melbourne after completing the MSc in Child and Adolescent Mental Health at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neurosciences in London. His interests include service provision in child mental health, in particular systems of care in the community and the provision of evidence-based and outcomes-driven public mental health services.
RCH Mental Health has goals of an accessible clinical service that provides consistently high quality mental health care to high-needs groups, a strong and motivated workforce, and the translation of existing research literature into local clinical practice.
